24 And they came to▵ the camp of Israel, and Israel rose·​·up and smote Moab, so that they fled from before them, and they came·​·in unto Moab and smiting smote it.

Verse 24. But the corrupted man, having his powers in orderly arrangement for selfish ends, resists on this occasion, the impure affections of the natural mind, which are not merely repressed, but, apparently, are subdued.
