13 And Elisha said unto▵ the king of Israel, What is there to me and to thee*? go unto▵ the prophets of thy father, and to▵ the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, No, for Jehovah has called these three kings, to give them into the hand of Moab.

Verse 13. And Divine Truth from the Word discovers the state of the corrupted man to himself and others, shewing that he loves, in reality, the falsities grounded in the evils of self-love and worldly love. But notwithstanding, through selfish fear, he desires help from the Word externally, lest he should lose the power of controlling the adulterated natural affections.
