26 and he took the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the house of the king, and took all; and he took all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.

Verse 26. And deprives it of all celestial and spiritual truths, thus destroying both truth and good; besides which it takes away also all natural truths grounded in celestial good from the Lord, which are for defence.
