1 QUANDO tu uscirai in guerra contro a’ tuoi nemici, e vedrai cavalli e carri, e gente in maggior numero di te, non temer però di loro; conciossiachè il Signore Iddio tuo, che t’ha tratto fuor del paese di Egitto, sia teco.

Versetto 1. Quando l'uomo spirituale passa dalla riflessione interiore al combattimento con i mali e le falsità, e percepisce i numerosi argomenti e dottrine schierati a favore del male, e che le falsità sembrano essere più abbondanti e potenti delle verità, non deve averne paura; perché l'Amore e la Saggezza Divina sono con Lui, che ha fatto uscire l'anima dalla sua condizione non rigenerata.



To many Protestant and Evangelical Italians, the Bibles translated by Giovanni Diodati are an important part of their history. Diodati’s first Italian Bible edition was printed in 1607, and his second in 1641. He died in 1649. Throughout the 1800s two editions of Diodati’s text were printed by the British Foreign Bible Society. This is the more recent 1894 edition, translated by Claudiana.
