Verse 24. Moreover the man of the New Church rejects, by the power of celestial love and the light of spiritual truth, every deception which makes falsity appear like truth, and evil appear like good, with every image and symbol thereof in external worship, and every ultimate form of selfishness either as to affection or thought in the external man, in order that his life may be in complete conformity with the truths revealed in the Spiritual Sense of the Word of the Lord to him who is in good.
