Ομως τα τεκνα των φονευτων δεν εθανατωσε· κατα το γεγραμμενον εν τω βιβλιω του νομου του Μωυσεως, οπου προσεταξεν ο Κυριος, λεγων, Οι πατερες δεν θελουσι θανατονεσθαι δια τα τεκνα, ουδε τα τεκνα θελουσι θανατονεσθαι δια τους πατερας, αλλ' εκαστος θελει θανατονεσθαι δια το εαυτου αμαρτημα.

Verse 6. While yet they transmit by heredity the evils of the natural man, over which hereditary evil they have no control, according to Divine Truth grounded in Divine Good, or according to the Divine Law, which declares that parents are not responsible for the inherited evil in their children, and that children are not responsible for the confirmed evil of their fathers, each man born being responsible for his actual evil.
