47 And if a stranger or sojourner become wealthy beside thee, and thy brother beside him grow poor, and sell himself unto the stranger, who is settled by thee, or to a scion of the stranger's family,

Verse 47. And besides, if those who do good from natural disposition only, or those who are in truth without good, have abundance of the knowledges of truth and good, while yet the man of the external church is deficient in truths, and thus good and truth are alienated, and evils and falsities have power through such natural dispositions prevailing.
