21 And Jehovah was angry with me on your account, and swore that I should not go over the Jordan, and that I should not enter in to that good land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance;

Verse 21. Furthermore, the soul has turned away and perverted even the Divine truth of the Word itself to the service of evil by the perversity of the natural man, so that it is not possible for truths alone to conduct the soul to interior religion, or for the soul, when in a state of believing truths only, to possess those heavenly states which the Divine Goodness and Wisdom desire to give it.
