28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with swords and spears, till the blood gushed out upon them.

Verse 28. But their falsities are violent from their own evils; for their evils bring punishment of themselves through falsities interior and exterior; and thus they do violence to charity, and are completely vastated.
