1 Kings 16:16

Verse 16. For when this is the case, it is perceived throughout the fallen church, that falsity from evil in the natural man has dominion, and that that evil is confirmed and truth rejected, the consequence of which is that the love of self in its most external form of sensual love becomes predominant in that state of the church.
