1 亚伯兰改名亚伯拉罕

2 我要与你立约,要使你的后裔人丁兴旺。”

3 于是亚伯兰俯伏在地,告诉他,

4 “看哪,这就是我和你所立的约:你要作多国的父。

5 你的名不要再亚伯兰,要亚伯拉罕,因为我已经立了你作万国的父。

6 我要使你极其昌盛,国度因你而立,君必从你而出。

7 我要与你,和你世世代裔,坚立我的约,成为永远的约,使我作你和你的裔的

8 我要把你现在寄居的地,就是迦南全地,赐你和你的裔,作永远的产业,我也要作他们的。”

9 约的证据──立割礼又对亚伯拉罕:“你和你世世代裔都要谨守我的约。

10 我与你和你的裔所立的这约,是你们应当谨守的,就是你们所有的男子,都要受割礼

11 你们都要割去身上的包皮,这就是我与你们立约的记号了。

12 你们中间世世代所有的男子,无论是在家里生的,或是用子从不是属你后裔的外族人买来的,生下来第八日都要受割礼

13 在你家里生的,和你用子买来的,都一定要受割礼。这样,我的约就刻在你们身上,作永远的约。

14 但不受割礼的男子,就是没有割去身上的包皮的,那人必从民中剪除,因为他违背了我的约。”

15 撒莱改名撒拉又对亚伯拉罕:“至于你的妻子撒莱,不要再她的名撒莱,要撒拉。

16 我必赐福她,也必使她为你生一个儿子;我要赐福她,她也要作多国的母,万族的君必从她而出。”

17 亚伯拉罕就俯伏在地,笑了起来,:“一岁的人,还能生孩子吗?撒拉已经九十岁了,还能生育吗?”

18 亚伯拉罕:“愿以实玛利能在你面前活着!”

19 应许生以撒:“你的妻子撒拉,真的要为你生一个儿子,你要给他起名以撒,我要与他坚立我的约,作他裔的永约。

20 至于以实玛利,我也应允你。看哪,我已经赐福他;我必使他昌盛,子孙极其众多;他必生十个族长;我也必使他成为国。

21 但我的约是要和以撒坚立的。这以撒,就是明年这时候,撒拉要为你生的。”

22 首次受割礼亚伯拉罕完了话,就离开他上升去了。

23 就在那一天亚伯拉罕照着吩咐他的,给他儿子以实玛利,和他家里所有的男子,无论是在家里生的,或是用子买来的,都割去了他们身上的包皮

24 亚伯拉罕岁的时候,割去了他身上的包皮

25 他的儿子以实玛利十三岁的时候,割去了他身上的包皮

26 就在那一天亚伯拉罕和他的儿子以实玛利,都受了割礼

27 亚伯拉罕家里所有的男人,无论是在家里生的,或是用子从外族人买来的,都与他一同受了割礼
