And in the morningmorning his spirit was troubled; and he sentsent for all the wisewise men of EgyptEgypt and all the holy men, and putput his dreamdream before them, but no one was able to give him the sensesense of it.
And PharaohPharaoh saidsaid to JosephJoseph, I have had a dreamdream, and no one is able to give me the sensesense of it; now it has come to my ears that you are able to give the sensesense of a dreamdream when it is putput before you.
The sevenseven thin and poor-looking cowscows who came up afterafter them are sevenseven years; and the seven headsseven heads of graingrain, dry and wasted by the east wind, are sevenseven years when there will be no food.
And afterafter that will come sevenseven years when there will not be enoughenough food; and the memory of the good years will go from men's minds; and the landland will be made waste by the bad years;
Then PharaohPharaoh took off his ringring from his handhand and putput it on Joseph'sJoseph's handhand, and he had him clothedclothed with the best linenlinen, and putput a chain of goldgold round his neckneck;
And PharaohPharaoh gave JosephJoseph the namename of Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him AsenathAsenath, the daughter of Poti-phera, the priest of Onpriest of On, to be his wifewife. So JosephJoseph went through all the landland of EgyptEgypt.
Now JosephJoseph was thirtythirty years oldold when he came beforebefore PharaohPharaoh, king of EgyptEgypt. And JosephJoseph went out from beforebefore the faceface of PharaohPharaoh and went through all the landland of EgyptEgypt.
And Joseph got together all the foodfood of those sevenseven years, and made a store of foodfood in the townstowns: the produce of the fieldsfields round every towntown was stored up in the towntown.
Then camecame the first of the sevenseven years of need as JosephJoseph had saidsaid: and in every other landland they were short of foodfood; but in the landland of EgyptEgypt there was breadbread.
And when all the landland of EgyptEgypt was in need of foodfood, the people came crying to PharaohPharaoh for breadbread; and PharaohPharaoh saidsaid to the people, GoGo to JosephJoseph, and whatever he sayssays to you, do it.
And everywhere on the earthearth they were short of food; then JosephJoseph, openingopening all his store-houses, gave the people of EgyptEgypt grain for money; so great was the need of food in the landland of EgyptEgypt.
