12 And you will keep in mind that you were a servant in the land of Egypt: and you will take care to keep all these laws.

Verse 12. And you shall bear in mind how the soul suffered bondage from sin and falsity in the natural unregenerate condition; and you shall carefully observe and carry out the principles derived from following the footsteps of the Lord in the regeneration, by which alone you are delivered from that bondage.
