And it came to pass from the time that he made him overseer in his househouse, and over all that he had, that JehovahJehovahblessedblessed the Egyptian's househouse for Joseph'sJoseph's sake; and the blessingblessing of JehovahJehovah was upon all that he had, in the househouse and in the fieldfield.
And he left all that he had in Joseph'sJoseph'shandhand; and he knewknew not aught [that was] with him, save the breadbread which he did eateat. And JosephJoseph was comely, and well-favored.
But he refused, and saidsaid unto his mastermaster's wifewife, Behold, my mastermaster knoweth not what is with me in the househouse, and he hath putput all that he hath into my handhand:
he is not greatergreater in this househouse than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wifewife: how then can I do this greatgreatwickednesswickedness, and sin against GodGod?
And it came to pass, as she spakespake to JosephJosephdayday by dayday, that he hearkened not unto her, to lielie by her, [or] to be with her.
And it camecame to pass about this time, that he went into the househouse to do his workwork; and there was none of the menmen of the househouse there within.
And she caught him by his garmentgarment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garmentgarment in her handhand, and fledfled, and got him out.
And it came to pass, when she sawsaw that he had left his garmentgarment in her handhand, and was fledfled forth,
that she calledcalled unto the menmen of her househouse, and spakespake unto them, saying, SeeSee, he hath brought in a Hebrew unto usus to mock usus: he camecame in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loudloudvoicevoice:
and it came to pass, when he heardheard that I lifted up my voicevoice and cried, that he left his garmentgarment by me, and fledfled, and got him out.
And she spakespake unto him according to these wordswords, saying, The HebrewHebrewservantservant, whom thou hast brought unto usus, camecame in unto me to mock me:
and it came to pass, as I lifted up my voicevoice and cried, that he left his garmentgarment by me, and fledfled out.
And it came to pass, when his mastermasterheardheard the wordswords of his wifewife, which she spakespake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servantservant to me; that his wrathwrath was kindled.
