And it came to pass in the course of those many days, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushesbulrushes, and daubed it with slimeslime and with pitch; and she putput the child therein, and laid it in the flagsflags by the river's brink.
And the daughter of PharaohPharaoh came downdown to bathebathe at the river; and her maidensmaidens walkedwalked along by the river-sideside; and she sawsaw the ark among the flagsflags, and sentsent her handmaidhandmaid to fetch it.
And the childchild grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh'sPharaoh's daughter, and he became her sonson. And she calledcalled his namename MosesMoses, and saidsaid, Because I drew him out of the waterwater.
And it came toto pass in those daysdays, when MosesMoses was grown up, that he went out unto his brethrenbrethren, and looked on their burdens: and he sawsaw an Egyptian smiting a HebrewHebrew, one of his brethrenbrethren.
And he saidsaid, Who made thee a princeprince and a judgejudge over usus? Thinkest thou to killkill me, as thou killedstkilledst the Egyptian? And MosesMoses fearedfeared, and saidsaid, Surely the thing is knownknown.
Now when PharaohPharaoh heardheard this thing, he sought to slayslay MosesMoses. But MosesMoses fledfled from the faceface of PharaohPharaoh, and dweltdwelt in the landland of MidianMidian: and he satsat down by a wellwell.
