17 And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any one to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

Verse 17. Because those who seek knowledge and demand truth separate from and opposed to charity, exalt intellectual pride, thus preventing the exercises of charity, and also the conjunction of faith therewith.
