Swedenborg's many scripture references were first gathered in an 1859 publication, Index Général (1859), by the French scholar Le Boys des Guays. In 1883, this work was updated by Rev. Arthur H. Searle, and published by the Swedenborg Society in London. It's often referred to as "Searle's Index". An updated edition was issued again in 1954. In recent years, the Kempton Project team updated the data yet again, in their work on the Kempton Translation of the Word. We have built on all these preceding works, providing the table below to New Christian scholars as a reference tool.
