2 และหมายสำคัญหรือการมหัศจรรย์ซึ่งเขาบอกท่านนั้นสำเร็จจริง ถ้าเขากล่าวว่า `ให้เราติดตามพระอื่นกันเถิด' ซึ่งเป็นพระที่ท่านไม่รู้จัก `และให้เรามาปรนนิบัติพระนั้น'

Verse 2. And the reasons or inducements offered seem on the surface to be good and true, and from them the thought arises in the heart that there are other things which should be worshiped supremely besides the perfections which are in the Lord's Humanity, and different to what He has revealed to the soul, and that these other things should be followed as the supreme good,
