38 Upang palayasin sa harap mo ang mga bansang lalong malalaki at lalong makapangyarihan kay sa iyo, upang ikaw ay kaniyang papasukin, na ibigay sa iyo na pinakamana ang kanilang lupain, gaya sa araw na ito.

Verse 38. To enable it to overcome evils in the soul, which are far greater and more powerful than the soul's desires for good would be without continual help from heaven, and to bring the soul to heaven and plant therein goods and truths in the place of evil, as can be seen even in this present state.
