29 En dit zal voor u tot een eeuwige inzetting zijn: gij zult in de zevende maand, op den tienden der maand, uw zielen verootmoedigen, en geen werk doen, inboorling noch vreemdeling, die in het midden van u als vreemdeling verkeert.

Verse 29. And this is the eternal law of Divine Order as to the purification of the external man in the holy state of faith and charity, in the course of regeneration, when remains of good and truth are to be fully implanted there, through victory in temptations and thence the realization of heavenly peace and rest. And this is applicable alike to the man of the internal church and the man of the external.
