36 Therefore all the men, whom Moses had sent to view the land, and who at their return had made the whole multitude to murmur against him, speaking ill of the land that it was naught,

Verse 36. And those who, having had the opportunity of choosing good and truth, turn away from them and intensify the state of temptation with the man of the church, because they are unwilling to engage in the conflict against evil.
