Numbers 5:15

Study

15 -- then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, a tenth part of an ephah of barley-meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an oblation of jealousy, a memorial oblation, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

Commentary on this verse

By Henry MacLagan

Verse 15. Then still there is communication with the internal man as to good, and the acknowledgement of the Lord from the good of truth through the operation of the Lord by remains; but there can be no reception of the genuine good of love, or of the genuine truth thereof in worship, because conjunction with the Lord is interrupted either by the adulteration of good, or by the lack of truths; and there is consciousness of evil or of error.
