1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt according to their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Verse 1. These are the changes of state through which the man of the Spiritual Church passes, when he is delivered from the bondage of the merely natural man, by means of Divine Truths in their ordination and arrangement, in subordination to the power of Divine Truth and Divine Good:
