1 夏天果子的異象耶和華向我顯示,我就見一籃夏天的果子。

2 耶和華:“阿摩司,你見甚麼?”我回答:“一籃夏天的果子。”他跟著對我:“我民以色列的結局到了,我不再放過他們。

3 “到那日,聖殿的歌聲必變為哀號;屍首眾多,拋棄各處;你們要肅靜。”這是耶和華的宣告。

4 責備富人欺壓貧寒踐踏窮乏人又除掉國中困苦人的,你們要這話。

5 你們說:“朔甚麼時候過去,好讓我們可以賣五穀;安息日甚麼時候結束,好讓我們可以開市賣穀物。我們賣東西就把升斗弄小,收銀子卻用加重了的法碼,我們要用假欺騙人。

6 我們用子買窮人,用一雙鞋換取窮乏人;連麥碎也賣掉。”

7 耶和華指著雅各所誇耀的起誓說:“我必永遠記著他們所作的一切;

8 地震“這地不應為此震動,所有在地上的不應悲哀嗎?這地必像尼羅河高漲翻騰,像埃及的大河退落。

9 黑暗“到那日,這是耶和華的宣告:我必使太陽正午落下,在白晝使地變成昏暗。

10 悲哀“我必使你們歡樂的節期變為悲哀的日子,把你們的歌聲都變為哀哭。我必使你們各人腰束麻帶,都剃光了;我必使你們悲哀,好像喪了獨生子,自始至終都是痛苦的。

11 飢餓“看哪!日子快到,這是耶和華的宣告。我必使饑荒臨到這地,這饑荒不是因為沒有食物,這乾渴不是因為沒有;而是因為不見耶和華的

12 他們從這飄流到那,從到東,到處奔走,要尋求耶和華的,卻尋不見。

13 口渴“到那日,美麗的少女和勇士都因乾渴昏倒。

14 那些指著撒瑪利亞亞示瑪女(“亞示瑪女”原文作“罪”)起誓,或是那些指著但的,或別是巴的(“別是巴的”原文作“別是巴的道”)起誓的,他們要倒下,再不能起來。”
