Deuteronomy 25:9

9 Then his brother's wife is to come to him, before the responsible men of the town, and take his shoe off his foot, and put shame on him, and say, So let it be done to the man who will not take care of his brother's name.

Verse 9. Then shall this apparent good be rejected from the interiors by natural truth, under the guidance of the wisdom of the Church, as something that has no connection with practical life; and thus all apparent good shall be spurned and rejected that will not flow forth into deeds of charity, and become conducive to mutual love in the outer life.
