51 And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah feareth king Solomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me to day that he will not slay his servant with the sword.

Verse 51. But celestial good (or the angels who are in that good) perceives, by influx from Divine Good, that such is the state of those in whom self-love is confirmed, that they can only seek protection from the laws of order in ultimates, and hence that they have the perception that those laws are irrevocably established, and that outward obedience secures freedom from punishment.
